The &#039;&#039;&#039;Ice City&#039;&#039;&#039; is a level in [[Keen 1]], one of the few in the game that has an official name&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;[[Hint Sheet (Invasion of the Vorticons)]] under &#039;&#039;Hints for Episode One&#039;&#039;&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt;. It appears to be some sort of [[Martians|Martian]] city made out of ice blocks. It is populated mainly by robots ([[Tank Robot]]s and [[Butler Robot]]s), probably due to the freezing temperatures present in the polar caps (in this case, the northern one). The third [[Vorticon Guard]] that [[Keen]] encounters is in this level.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This level contains one of the [[Bean-with-Bacon Megarocket|missing parts]] from [[Bean-with-Bacon Megarocket|Keen&#039;s ship]], the &#039;&#039;&#039;Vacuum cleaner&#039;&#039;&#039;.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In this and other ice levels, such as the [[First Ice Shrine|First]] and [[Second Ice Shrine]]s and the [[Vorticon Commander&#039;s Castle]], there are two kinds of slippery surfaces: white blocks, which are slippery when walked upon but [[Keen]] can still be controlled; and ice blocks, where Keen slides and loses control unless he jumps off the block.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This is also one of the few levels, along with [[Red Maze City]], that features an Ice Cannon (three cannons in this case). It also features a small &amp;quot;Snow-[[Yorp]]&amp;quot;.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If Keen falls in the room with the Vorticon Guard without the [[pogo]] he will not be able to backtrack. If Keen does not already have the red [[keycard]] this will result in him being unable to complete the level. If the Vorticon Guard has already been killed in this case, the player will be forced to quit out of the level or use the [[Keen: Vorticons Cheats|item cheat]].   &lt;br /&gt;

1.) You only need to do one level! Just go northeast until you find the topmost teleporter, it&#039;ll take you right to the boss!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2.) In the dark forest, get the gem at the start then stick close to the ground and keep shooting.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
3.) Cheat codes are GEM for stuff and LEV for invincibility.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
4.) Hide behind a block when shooting those annoying red guys. Hit the purple brains when their backs are turned.&lt;br /&gt;

5.) Look in a hole for the secret level!&lt;br /&gt;

Oracle Janitor, eighty year-old geezer, working diligently on top of the Oracle tower, is scrubbing away at a bad stain! While the Council members are lazy and do nothing, Oracle Janitor grumbles about how his job sucks, and how he deserves a promotion. Then he dons his brother&#039;s mop, and transforms into...&lt;br /&gt;

Oracle Janitor with Mop! With his mop, Oracle Janitor dispenses galactic cleanliness with an iron hand!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Previously in [[Oracle Janitor 2]], Oracle Janitor had saved Commander Keen, once again, from the Evil Monks!  They were flying away from the evil landmass out in space when they began to argue, as the ship began to shake. Apparently the Janitor&#039;s ship, the Geezer 5000, had not been properly maintained and this forced a crash landing on a nearby planet.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Commander Keen left to find help and came across two suspicious individuals who claimed they would repair the ship if they were helped in getting their treasure from a local cave. However they appeared to be dangerous space pirates.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Hours later Oracle Janitor had finished the repairs to the ship and had just shut the Engine compartment when he realized that Keen still wasn&#039;t back.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;quot;hmm&amp;quot;, he said &amp;quot;Keen should have been back by now&amp;quot;.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
He new that the Space Pirates couldn&#039;t be trusted, they probably kidnapped Keen! Or worse...&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Running back to the ship, Oracle Janitor grabbed a blue flame potion to let him shoot flaming projectiles and ran into the cave, preparing to fight off space pirates, and whatever else lurked in the dark cave...&lt;br /&gt;

Keen lands the Geezer 5000 on the strange land mass in the middle of space. Keen opens the driver door.  It&#039;s very dark, except for an erie grey light. All of a sudden, shadows appear around the door. Keen yells, but they grab him. The oracle janitor watches from behind the seat as the Shadow figures carry Keen off to a strange monastery. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;quot;Now&#039;s my chance!&amp;quot; he thinks, jumping into the drivers seat.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
But then he remebers, the Oracle Council members sent him to rescue Keen. If Keen isn&#039;t brought home safe, he&#039;ll never get his promotion.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Grumbling, the Oracle janitor hops out of the Geezer 5000, and treads up the path, not knowing what evil dangers await him in the Monastery.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Oracle Janitor must save Commander Keen! Also, it appears that the evil creatures of the monastery are planning to destroy the galaxy, so it wouldnt hurt to destroy the Mystic Orbs that power the Destructo Machines as well.&lt;br /&gt;

&#039;&#039;Keen secured the stolen parts of his grandmas precious teaset from the strange planet &amp;quot;Strgwz&amp;quot;. As he was on his way back home, he saw a whole fleet that was apparently monitoring his quest. As he discovered the &amp;quot;MM&amp;quot; label on the back of one ship he knew the future of the universe was in jeopardy once again.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&#039;&#039;Keen was investigating a small ship of the fleet, and learned that the salcs which are operating the ships are controlled by the Evil Eyes, a race of hypnotic beings, who most of the time don&#039;t use their multiple hands to get things done. They rather move other beings telepathically. Mort has constructed mind-force machines that will strengthen the hypnotic waves from the Evil Eyes so that they destroy the being they concentrate on. He is making them concentrate on their eight special targets with the help of giant displays. If Keen finds an Evil Eye standing in front of such a display he must shoot it. The switch below these Evil Eyes will trigger the power injection, so that the Evil Eye will instantly destroy the displayed brain.&#039;&#039;&lt;br /&gt;

&#039;&#039;Once again back home from saving the universe, commander keen found himself visiting his grandma on a sunday for lunch. But just as his grandma was taking a nap before tea time, a strange being entered the room and stole grandmas precious tea set. Keen just got a glimpse of the purple being as he came back from the toilet. Why that? thought Keen, but he was sure his arch-nemesis had something to do with it. So he ran to his BwB-Megarocket and traced the course of the beings ship to a strange unknown planet, wich was indicated on his starmap as &amp;quot;Strgwz&amp;quot;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&#039;&#039;The being must have hidden the parts of the tea set somewhere on this planet.  Keen can not return to his grandma without them, because he would get accused for taking them away, and would not get any of her famous triple chocolate cake, a cake even better than the vorticon double chocolate cake.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&#039;&#039;Upon landing on the planet keen found out that in the rush he had taken the Plasmatic Photoray Pistol, which he found on venus with him, not the Neural Stunner, so he will be using this one in this episode.&#039;&#039;&lt;br /&gt;

Keen studied his Keen Wiki entries on this Planet and found some interesting entries. Wild animals are living here and huge mushrooms are growing. Keen is sure he must climb the thousand stairs of Strgwz, and the giant Megamoth Trees. One thing was particularly interesting: there appears to be a Garg-Temple on this planet? How can that be? This planet is in an entirely different quadrant of the galaxy? No garg should ever have been here!&lt;br /&gt;

Billy Blaze, returns to earth after 4 years and many exciting adventures across the galaxy and beyond. He has battled numerous hostile aliens and has made many new friends. But now all he wants to do is to be a 12 year old boy and have some summertime fun.  Swimmimg at the beach, fishing with friends, and maybe have some quality time with his babysitter&#039;s little red-headed sister.&lt;br /&gt;

The first day at the beach was a bust. The red tide seemed to be extra bad this year. Numerous fish had washed up on the beach. The water quality was poor at best. This was not what he had in mind as summertime fun.&lt;br /&gt;

Satellite imagery has detected unusal algal growth originating from the Sigsbee Deep. The harmful algal blooms produce toxic effects on fish, shellfish, marine mammals, and humans. Commander Keen is still at his never ending galactic Senate meeting, and will be quite annoyed to find out the his pet yorp has lost Billy&#039;s most prized possession - his Bean-with-Bacon Megarocket.  Oops.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In our last episode Norp went aboard a solar bomb Mortimer McMire had set up to destroy the solar system. Luckily Norp defused it and foiled Mortimer&#039;s plans. But Norp was sent out into space and landed on a desolate asteroid orbiting the moon.  And what did he see over the horizon? Another factory set up by Mortimer.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Norp wants to destroy Mortimer once and for all. It was Mortimer that ruined his vacation in the first place, and it was Mortimer&#039;s fault that he was stuck here. Norp starts running towards the building, and what does he see? A giant Mortimer, walking across the ground!  Ten stories tall he stood, a gargantuan figure towering above Norp.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;quot;Bu-but-t, h-how?&amp;quot; stammered Norp.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Mortimer chuckled and answered, &amp;quot;Oh, I&#039;ve developed my own little formula. Goodbye.&amp;quot;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
And he picked Norp up, tossed him in his mouth, and swallowed him whole.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Norp, in a state of panic, squirmed around, and found his way through a hole that looked a little like a pore.  He ended up in a labyrinth of tunnels, facing strange and dangerous creatures.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
== What Norp Must Do ==&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
As Norp the Yorp, you must find your way out of Mortimer&#039;s body, but along the way, you want to hurt him as much as possible. In each area of tissue you enter, there is one brain cell you must destroy which will immediately kill every creature in the surrounding tissue area and end the level.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
== About Mortimer&#039;s Body == &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Mortimer&#039;s body is quite different than an average human body. Viruses do not hurt it, but work in unison with white blood cells.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
On your journey, you will encounter white blood cells, who will stop at nothing to destroy you, the intruder. Harmless platelets wander around aimlessly, and will meld into Mortimer&#039;s body at the slightest touch. Red blood cells bounce around everywhere, but they can&#039;t hurt you. Psycho Fish fly through Mortimer&#039;s body, helping with digestive processes. Carrier proteins may prove useful at times.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The most common virus that inhabits Mortimer&#039;s body is the Dentilioc. Also common is the Hornicus, which although it is harmless itself, it shoots Virons, small bug-like creatures at you. The Loctiper is extremely dangerous. They can leap a mile high, and they&#039;re hard to kill. Siliac Foos tear through levels, and won&#039;t stop for anything in their paths.&lt;br /&gt;

In the previous episode, Norp foiled Mortimer McMire&#039;s plans to wipe out the Yorps of Mars and start a factory for himself on it. On his way home, he saw a solar bomb, hovering near the sun. Knowing he had to do something since his owner wasn&#039;t around to save the day, he went aboard. He still has Keen&#039;s pogo stick and BwB. A solar bomb is powered by the numerous plants growing inside of it.  Its deadly weapons are its &amp;quot;Funky Purple Flowers&amp;quot;, which are in turn powered by &amp;quot;Funky Blue Mushrooms&amp;quot;.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Your job is to destroy these mushrooms, before the purple things can send a ray at the sun which will in turn go boom and reflect a    ray towards one of the eight planets in our system (Mort forgot about Pluto).  On board are delicious fruits and laser eye candies, allowing Norp to spit lasers instead of eyeballs.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
== Information on the Bomb ==&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
While collecting plants, Mortimer captured a numerous amount of Junglemen and Cavemen who he put under his control with an unknown machine (wait and find out!). Especially dangerous are the mysterious dragons that roam about the bomb.  Watch out for psycho fish that can temporarily paralyze you. Keep your eyes peeled (I mean eye..heh) for hidden areas, and don&#039;t be shy of the snails wandering around.  They may actually be helpful at times. In various areas of the bomb there are packets of air flowing around, which Norp can float left or right on.&lt;br /&gt;

By entering the [[Pyramid of the Moons]] and locating a picture of a [[Wikipedia:Crescent|crescent moon]] drawn onto the floor, you can make Keen [[Wikipedia:Mooning|moon]]. Simply stand on the picture of the crescent moon and wait. Keen normally looks impatient and after a while sits down to read a book, however if you are standing on the moon picture then instead of reading a book Keen will moon the player.&lt;br /&gt;

Keen can only do this once per life. You will need to make Keen lose a life or exit and reload the game to do it again.&lt;br /&gt;

== The Secret Level ==&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
There is a secret level in Keen 4, called the [[Pyramid of the Forbidden]]. To reach it, first enter [[Pyramid of the Moons]]. At the lowest area are a bunch of [[Inchworm]]s spread about. You need to gather all 12 of them in one spot. To do this, you must close the bridge on the left and open the door (with the yellow key gem) on the right. When all are gathered, a huge foot materializes (because 12 inches makes one foot). Jump up onto this foot. Keen will exit the level and be carried over to the secret pyramid.&lt;br /&gt;

There is also a subtle reference to this in the help section. The description of the Inchworm in The Cast of Characters reads: &amp;quot; ... Watch where you step or they&#039;ll be afoot!&amp;quot; This is why the [[Hint Sheet (Goodbye Galaxy)|Hints and Cheats sheet]] says to &amp;quot;Reread the Cast of Characters carefully.&amp;quot;&lt;br /&gt;

== Keen Dreams level loading animation ==&lt;br /&gt;

While not strictly an Easter egg as a patch is required to activate it, the level loading progress bar from [[Keen Dreams]] was left behind, unused but fully functional, in Keen 4.  Normally it is replaced by the usual finger countdown animation, however this replacement action can be disabled, resulting in the original progress bar being seen instead.&lt;br /&gt;
