Continued incompetence.

The Berkeloid replacements were to be known as "Azores," and they would be found around the celery-stalk woods, chopping pieces off of the trees that would bounce around.

The Lick and Treasure Eater replacements were Vrungs, who were pretty horrible gender stereotypes. I'm glad I never finished them. The little lady versions would "clean up" the point items, while the thuggish man versions would swing their wrenches at you. They were the primary denizens of the planet, and had helped construct some of Mortimer's ships.

The Mimrocks were some sort of security system for the factories, while the Poison Slug replacements were spider-like things that would crawl through the ductwork inside the factories. I spent a while considering how to make the ductwork big enough for Keen to navigate without distracting from the look of the factories themselves.

:Thanks for telling us the names of the creatures and what they're meant to do, Xky Rauh! Anyway, I've been looking through the sprites, and I found sprites for replacements of the Skypest and Bounder. Before I upload images of them to the article, I was wondering if you had any names for them and wouldn't mind telling them.

:By the way, for future reference, whenever you reply in a talk page, you should sign your comment with four tildes, which will turn into your signature once you save it. Quinton (talk) 23:42, 12 October 2018 (UTC)
::Let's see if I can figure out how to do it this time. :) The Bounder replacements never had a name. I knew they were platforms and could be used as platforms, and that's as far as I got in the editing process. I spent most of my time trying to figure out how to edit the Vrung swing distance and jump height. I don't even remember what the Skypest replacement was supposed to be. It almost looks like a fish! AFAIK, Xky only confirmed the names "Vrung" and "Azore" (BTW, the patch file actually calls the Berkeloids Ozarks, not Azores). The name "Boson" appears to have come from that creature's use in Zoltan's Revenge. Where did "Xkyder", "Squipitor", "Jantaur" and "Security Statue" originate from? Should the page only use names that were officially named by Xky? Pandakeen (talk) 02:31, 12 March 2023 (GMT)

:You brought up some good questions, Pandakeen! According to the page history, Nisaba added all of the creature names (Bounder and Skypest replacements aside, both of whom are unnamed) into the XkyKeen4 article, including the ones that weren't confirmed here. I'm not sure if she made them up or Xky confirmed the names somewhere else, whether publicly or privately with Nisaba (like in a Discord chat). I typed "Xkyder", "Squipitor", "Jantaur", and "Boson" into the search form on PCKF and K:M, but I only got one irrelevant result. Perhaps we should ask Xky Rauh (and Nisaba?) about those names.
Xky's Mega Level is a custom level for Keen 1 made by Xky Rauh in 1999-01-24. It qualifies as a mega level by its sheer size of 150 x 100 tiles. The level is divided up into sections, Keen has to pass each to get to the exit.
The Ice Factory is a level for Keen 1 released by Xky Rauh in 1998-01-14 and is the first known custom level to be released on the internet. It is also present in the Ice Level Levelpack and in the KMO Default Levels. Once you step into the first ice shooter Keen will be transported frozen to the exit, but there's still some Teddy Bears worth 40,000 points in the area above the exit, six of them are only reachable if you got the pogo before entering the level.
This page contains historical information on Public Commander Keen Forum. For the actual web-site, see Public Commander Keen Forum (external website).

The Public Commander Keen Forum is the currently most active Keen community, thus it is often referred to as the Community. It is currently hosted by EzBoard, financed by Cho'gall (re-founder of Cerebral Cortex 314) and administrated by eK, KeenRush, Xtraverse and Yorpy. The current moderator is Snaily.

TODO: add historical info here.

Start of historical info--Flaose and older members, please please please help and fix this up!

The PCKF originated as an InsideTheWeb message board, (5517?) founded by (who?). Most discussion was about the original 7 games (Keen:Vorticons, Keen:Dreams, Keen:Galaxy, Keen:Aliens) and anticipation about TUIT (link to TUIT stub/page?). Some early level editing for Keen:vorticons was experimented with. The "hub" for the message board was Cerebral Cortex 314 (link to CC314 page?)

(Dr. Oueff attacks, Neil, etc.? Help?)

Around 1999 (2000? When?) the switch was made to EzBoard, which was more robust than InsideTheWeb and allowed for graphic updates and layout changes. Cho'gall paid for the initial Gold Membership, and kept the board subscribed to be ad-free (Any other contributors?)

The original mods were (Thea? Flaose? Forge314? eK?)

As Keen fangames became more prominent, a "FanGames" section was opened up--originally it was PimentoCheez's fangame subform (area? Help?) but later incorporated all Unofficial Keen Games.

Shortly after the first edition of ModKeen was released in 2002, enough modding questions began to clog the "Other Keen Stuff" subforum that Andrew Durdin opened the doors to Keen:Modding(link?).

The Public Commander Keen Forum attracts fans of the original Keen games, and provides a place for them to ask questions about secret areas, the Standard Galactic Alphabet (link?) and general Keen information. It also offers a gateway to the wealth of fangames and mods which have accumulated over the years.
XkyRauhhttps://keenwiki.shikadi.net/w/index.php?title=Guard_Post_One&diff=3023Guard Post One2007-01-26T21:31:43Z
XkyRauh:

Guard Post One is the first of three such levels on Fribbulus Xax. What exactly the Guard Posts protect (or the function they serve in Bloog society) is unknown.

There is a secret near the Blue Keygem, where a player can pogo up and to the left to obtain four Neural Stunner powerups.

On the Easy difficulty, it is possible to do an Impossible Pogo Trick to scale the wall dividing the Guard Post in half--skipping the necessity for the Blue and Green Keygems.
XkyRauh
