The Book is an item in Commander Keen 1. It has "KANT" written on its cover. Kant was a well-known philosopher, and the book likely contains some of his works. What it is doing on Mars is unknown, it may be that the Vorticon have a philosophical bent. Having taken toys from Earth, the Martians may have taken Earth books with them as well. Either way, it is most likely right up Keen's alley as he is currently studying a college fast track degree.
