Patch:Border

The border or screen border is a rectangle of color that surrounds the playing screen in Keen Vorticons. Though subtle it has been used for surprising effect such as flashing when a Vorticon is killed. Most modern methods of playing render the border much less conspicuous meaning that patches relating to it are not of high importance.

Border color

This is controlled by the last value of the current palette.

Border flash

A flash occurs when a Vorticon is killed in Keen Vorticons. (Not all Vorticon enemies but rather the 'grunts' or basic Vorticons.) This can be disabled.
