Shockshund
Shockshunds are three legged energy-dogs used as guards by the Shikadi, found aboard the Omegamatic in Keen 5. They are loyal and fierce, if small (only a foot tall) and can jump surprisingly large distances. They are capable of shooting "energy barks" at intruders and are lethal to touch.
It is claimed that "their spark is worse than their bite", although worse than either of those is their behavior of pouncing rapidly towards their target, an attack which is difficult to dodge, especially in confined spaces or when more than one Shockshund are present. Fortunately, they are weaker than their masters, taking only a pair of shots to stun.

Their name is a play on the Dachshund breed of dog and is thus a portmanteau of "Shocks" (implying their energy-based nature) and "hund" (the German word for dog).
