Molesters are mutated Moleys, which are much more dangerous and hungry than their normal selves. The secret level of Mort's Rescue contains a lot of capsules, many of which contain Molesters inside them. It was never explained what happened to the Molesters after Mort's Rescue. It is possible that either their mutation was undone or they remain in the form for the rest of their lives.
