Download links not working

For various mods, including the four most recent ones on the Keen 4 mods page, the download icon is just a link to the image itself. Of course, it's not limited to Keen 4 mods. Apparently, it happens whenever the value for LatestDownloadURL includes additional information such as the version number, rather than just the URL. --Grandy02 (talk) 20:50, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

This is a mistake, as per the infobox instructions, you can't have anything but the bare URL. (This is because it also gets embedded in invisible metadata as well.) To fix this, I have added a new parameter to the template called LatestVersion that can have the version number in it without breaking the URL. I have updated Buried in Oblivion to use this new method as an example. I also made the download link break if there are spaces in it to prevent the problem from happening again. Any existing pages with incorrect download links will now appear in Category:Invalid download links. -- Malvineous (talk) 06:02, 6 February 2021 (GMT)
