Beetlebone
Beetlebone is an enemy in the Keen 4 mod Atroxian Realm by Gridlock.
The Beetlebone is a fearsome creature that is native to Planet Krisle. These animals have a hard bony exoskeleton, one red eye, and a huge open jaw lined with sharp teeth. Beetlebones are ambush predators that lurk in the deep underground tunnels below Kridonea City. They hide below the surface of water (or other liquids) and wait for a hapless victim to pass by. When a potential meal gets close, the hungry Beetlebone will use it's powerful legs to jump straight up out of the water with it's mouth wide open, desperate to grab its prey with razor sharp teeth. Beetlebones are protected by their exoskeleton which is made of a thick bone-like material, they are in fact so well armored that Keen's stunner has no effect on these deadly beasts! Luckily, the Beetlebone is a rare creature, only found in the Kridonea Gateway and the Catacombs.
The in-game help text states: These skeletal creatures reside in acidic sewers, waiting patiently for unsuspecting prey.
The Beetlebone is a Mad Mushroom replacement.
