COMMANDER KEEN - defender of Earth!
Keen has always been there to protect the Earth and the universe at large from invasion, destruction, and more!
But... A year has passed since Commander Keen left Earth on a journey orchestrated to detain him. A year since he set foot on his homeplanet. A year since the invaders arrived.
Life on Earth has changed. Already the alien force known as the Hierarchy has established themselves across the planet with no sign of relenting. Governments and national military forces have been crushed. The humans that have managed to survive have fled into the ever decreasing rural areas. Those who are caught are killed or enslaved to the will of the Hierarchy. In another year Earth, stripped of its resources, will be an uninhabitable wasteland.
There is no time to lose. Commander Keen was a galaxy away when he learned that he was lured away from Earth for a reason. He raced back to find that the world he left behind was gone. In its place was a war torn planet occupied by vicious, resource hungry alien overlords driving humanity into extinction. Keen discovers that his hometown is on the border of one of an alien skirmish zone and attempts to land in his Megarocket, but is shot down and makes an emergency parachute landing in the town's outskirts. If his lab is still standing, he'll be able to get some supplies there. Commander Keen is unsure whether the Earth can be saved. But there is one thing is he certain of...
The Hierarchy will pay dearly for their ruthlessness.
