Is is Meeps or Meep for a group of them? We need to find some way of generically deciding this as it's a bit ambiguous for many creatures. -- Malvineous 21:57, 16 July 2007 (GMT)

Probably Meeps. It sounds right.--Xterra1 00:28, 17 July 2007 (GMT)
I don't know - Meep sounds like Sheep, and "Sheeps" is wrong... -- Malvineous 09:44, 17 July 2007 (GMT)
Well, let's wait for more opinions. Just us two can't decide-Try getting KR or Sega over here.--Xterra1 16:06, 17 July 2007 (GMT)
I've just carelessly always called them Meeps, but I guess the Meep is what it should be for a group of them. --KeenRush 08:29, 19 July 2007 (GMT)
Good opinion,KR.Each to their own. Sega?--Xterra1 13:30, 19 July 2007 (GMT)
As English is not my first language, I'm not sure I'm really qulified to answer this kind of question... in Spanish you only use plurals, so using words like "sheep" or "meep" for a group creatures makes no sense to me (in Spanish). However, from what I've seen and know of English, I think Meep is ok, it didn't bother me much when it was that way. Btw, what is the English rule for that? "Sheep are good" is ok, but "Lion are good" is not... is there any rule we could apply here? Sega381 18:21, 19 July 2007 (GMT)
Dunno.Malv? KR?--Xterra1 18:27, 19 July 2007 (GMT)
I don't think there's a rule, I think "sheep" is just one of the many arbitrary exceptions to the rules. I suppose when you say "there are four Meeps on this level" it does sound better than "there are four Meep on this level", so maybe it should stay as "Meeps". -- Malvineous 21:52, 19 July 2007 (GMT)
Ok... so I guess if the general rule is using "s" for plurals, there is no sense in making up rules for fictional species... so let's keep the "s" here and everywhere else, unless there is an exception. Meeps then.Sega381 03:19, 20 July 2007 (GMT)
