Unreachable items

Are there items in this game that can't be picked up without cheating? As one example, I can't seem to reach the teddy bear on the left edge, even using the pogo stick. --WerdnA309 22:24, 23 February 2008 (GMT)

Actually, there are a number of items which are inaccessible in the games. On the Keen 1 secret level, there is a book which cannot be reached. The first levels of both Keen 4 and 5 have large numbers of extra lives stashed in hidden areas which can only be reached through cheating. The lives and drops in the Lifewater Oasis of Keen 4 are not accessible at all except if one uses no clipping and jump cheat, and are therefore teasers.

There are also at least two levels in Keen 3 which designed (probably unintentionally) such that much of the levels cannot be accessed at all. But that's different from what you're talking about, I think.

Actually, the extra lives in the first levels of Keen 4 and 5 can be collected without cheating. :) It can be found in this wiki how to do it in Keen 4, but Keen 5 lacks the description. I'm too tired to write complete description, but in almost upper left corner of the level, where that laser gun or whatever is shooting downwards, pogo to the left wall (use the moving platform to aid yourself), there's hidden area inside the wall. Inside it pogo up, and move right. You should get to the top-border of the level. Keep walking right until you fall down to the secret area. --KeenRush 09:51, 24 February 2008 (GMT)

First, the bear *is* reachable because I have collected it. You need to know how to pogo just right. ;) Also, the point total given is wrong. The game gives you 10,000 points for collecting the car battery, so the total should be 37,200 points (rather than 27,200 points). Muhahahahaz 13:26, 18 July 2010 (GMT)
