The Neural Ray Blaster is the final of a series of weapons Keen acquires during his adventures. It is similar to the Neural Stunner it replaces in Keen GBC, in that it shoots energy blasts that stun (and occasionally kill) Keen's foes. The Blaster is much weaker than the stunner in that its stunning is usually only temporary and Keen must usually pogo onto an enemy to finish them off. This is a logical link in the decreasing lethality of his weapons, from the lethal Raygun to mostly harmless stunner. It is however stronger than Flower Power.
It is notable that Keen can kill several enemies formerly immortal in Keen 5 and Keen 6, such as the Sphereful and Robo Red. Thus it may actually be an improvement on the Stunner.
