Shoal is the sixteenth level in The Keys of Krodacia. This level is very different than all the levels before it due to the fact the level is underwater. The last level Reef is also an underwater level. Instead of his trusty Pogo stick and his Neural Stunner, Keen is wearing his Wetsuit in order to breathe and swim underwater to collect points and find another key to the Universal Toaster Canon. His quest will not be necessarily easy because Squiddly eats points throughout the level and Ogobogo patrols around looking for 8-year-old heroes to eat. This is the only level where the Blue Worm appears.
Miscellaneous info
- There are 4 Squiddlies in the Shoal. Thanks to the level's design and behavior (underwater, Keen moves much slower, cannot stun them, the Squiddlies' starting point, etc.), they easily outmatch Keen and steal thousands of points. Right near the beginning, the first Squiddly immediately steals two Sodas, making a perfect level (and game) impossible.
- According to the level map, there are a total of 59,700 points in here. That would be 29 Krodacian Sodas and Blue Peppermints equally, 18 Chocolate Bars, 12 Sugar Cubes, 5 Burgers and 4 Strawberry Jellos (2,900 + 5,800 + 9,000 + 12,000 + 10,000 + 20,000 = 59,700). As an underwater level, there are no gems to be collected, and unfortunately no 1-UPs are available either.
- It's very unlikely that even by cheating, the highest amount of points could be collected. The Squiddlies should be removed or patched to incapacitate them.
