Talk:Commander Keen (Game Boy Color game)
I'm getting really tired of seeing articles about Keen GBC stuff with non-formatted images (without infoboxes, not framed, etc.). I'd correct all that info if I had and knew this game. Who's maintaining these articles currently? First, IMO, we should provide double-sized pictures as in the other (official) games. See How I fixed Shikadi Overlord's page for an example of what I suggest. --Shadow Master 13:48, 9 July 2007 (GMT)

- Actually no, it's been this way for months. -- Malv
- Hopefully someone who can write Wiki code and provide the pictures at the same time. Now, you could just provide the pictures (based on the format for those of official games) and I or someone else take care of wiki formatting the articles. IIRC, it was Djaser who cared about these articles. --Shadow Master 13:53, 9 July 2007 (GMT)
- I agree - since I never wanted the GBC stuff in the wiki in the first place I haven't been maintaining it, so perhaps we should put the call out to the PCKF to say that if it's not fixed up we'll take it out? We'll need a good example of what we want people to do though - your Shikadi Overlord page would work, but we'll also need one for combined pages like the Bloog. -- Malvineous 07:57, 10 July 2007 (GMT)
Blinking
It's not mentioned anywhere (as far as I know), but in Keen GBC, Keen blinks! -- DHeadshot 17:26, 22 November 2009 (GMT)
Port
Has anyone tried porting Keen GBC to DOS, maybe by modding another Keen game? If not, it's something to think about... -- DHeadshot 13:46, 17 December 2009 (GMT)
Interesting idea, but that would be rather difficult to do however, as none of the Keen Games (except for Keen Dreams, which nobody has really successfully modded yet anyway) are coded for a Boss Battle, which there are 3 of in Keen GBC. Although, Ceilick HAS created a boss battle in DITD, so i guess if he or someone else who is really awesome at modding took over the project i guess. However, there is also the issue of the lack of levels in the game now, and the fact that they are almost entirely horizontal. This could be a challenge with the limitations of the Keen Engine, and more levels would have to be designed. If someone REALLY wanted to go to the trouble of redesigning all of the current levels, and create new ones, redo the music, find a way to program the game to work, as well as several other problems to make the game actually be GOOD, i guess i would play it. Some people still wouldn't, though. Really, there's not that much point to redoing KEEN GBC, though, as Ceilick's new BOTB accomplishes the same idea of travelling to three different planets to stop Mortimer, essentially the same idea, just that it's actually going to be good, awesome in fact, and will be designed from the ground up. It will have a GOOD plot and also will have plenty of working levels, and fits into the plot of the Keen story, which Keen GBC did not. Plus, Keen GBC was entirely a disagreement with the rest of the series, with a lot of information in the game being seriously changed and incorrect. Still, if someone really wants to take on the project, knock yourself out. GARGapplesauce 01:36, 10 October 2010 (GMT)
Article Name
In light of the fact that Keen 6 has finally received the proper name, with punctuation (!), I believe this article should also be renamed to its correct title. The official title of Keen GBC is Commander Keen. In order to avoid confusion, of course, with the titular character, I propose that this article be renamed Commander Keen (Game Boy Color). - Flaose 21:42, 10 March 2010 (GMT)
