The Warpcore is the fifteenth and final level of Battle of the Brains, a Keen 5 mod by Ceilick. After defeating all of the attempts of the Shikadi, Krodacians, the robots, and the genetically engineered monsters Mortimer has made, at long last, all that stands between him and preventing the detonation of the universe; the legendary evil genius Mortimer McMire himself. At first glance it would seem that the battle would be evenly matched due to the only differences being goals and 1 IQ point, but that is not the case. Not only is Mort highly resistant to Keen's Neural Stunner (it takes 30 shots just to make him vulnerable), but it's not strong enough to destroy the four energy cores throughout the station. The only enemies encountered in this stage are Mortimer McMire, and a lone Cybloog on normal and hard difficulties.
The level consists of 4 WarpCores, each defending some sort of vital section of the level, meaning it is adamant that you destroy them to finish the level, and then the game. However as Princess Lindsey warned, your shots will not work or be enough to stop Mortimer's plans, meaning you must find some alternate way to disable the machines...
Items (v2 beta5)
The latest version of the game has slightly modified the final level. Now, it contains 34,700 points, including 19 Rocket Pops and 4 of Juice Boxes, Frozen Yogurts, Sprinkle Pastries and Stacks O' Pancakes alike (1,900 + 800 + 4,000 + 8,000 + 20,000 = 34,700). The total of Orbs was changed to 69. The one and only 1-UP remains at the same place. It's interesting that no Chocolates and Corn Dogs can be found at all.
